It’s that time of year again. The weather’s heating up in Portland and we’re working on our hottest summer fundraising event (a big sell out!): The Parr Lumber Great Summer Chef Off on Saturday, August 6, 2016.
Presented by Parr Lumber, the cook-off features food prepared by some of Portland’s elite chefs. Stay tuned for the announcement of our 2016 participating chefs and restaurants. Farm-to-cone ice cream from Salt & Straw is served for dessert. Beer and wine tastings are also a part of the evening. Blues musician Lisa Mann provides live entertainment while chefs go head-to-head at the grill. At the end of the evening, guests cast their vote for the chef with the best dish, who competes for $5,000 to donate to an Oregon children’s charity of his or her choice.
