The Foundation (HFF) holds three fundraisers each year to raise money for the Oregon Community Quarterback Scholarship. HFF partners with local organizations for the Safeway-Albertsons Battle at Bandon, an annual golf tournament; The Parr Lumber Great Summer Chef Off, a BBQ cook-off with select Portland chefs; and Huddle Up for Kids, a partnership with Safeway-Albertsons, which collects donations for low-income students to access higher education through scholarships and mentoring services. Stay tuned for a new fundraising opportunity in 2017 in conjunction with Cosmos Creations and Portland Public Schools: the Harrington Family Foundation Leadership Fundraiser.
All proceeds benefit the Oregon Community Quarterback Scholarship program, which each year awards four, four-year $2,500 scholarships ($10,000/student) to emerging Oregon high school student leaders in need. The Oregon Community Quarterback Scholarship program is designed to encourage students who have shown a take-charge ability in their communities, but may need help financial assistance reaching their potential at an Oregon university, college or trade school.

Harrington Family Foundation Leadership Fundraiser
Location: Portland, Oregon
Dates: Coming 2017
New to the Foundation, we’re partnering with Cosmos Creations, a local snack food company based in Junction City. Cosmos Creations has a snack that people love and happens to be a perfect product to sell door-to-door. We’re partnering with local public schools to raise money for leadership programs. Students take the product into the community and work together to sell snacks, which helps build individual integrity, foster teamwork, and bridge the funding gap for educational programs.
We are excited to launch this program for the Portland Public Schools! Stay tuned to learn more.
