Fighting in the Fairways

Location: Pumpkin Ridge Golf Course
Date: October 11, 2012

For both Ducks and Beavers, there’s simply nothing better than the bragging rights that follow a victorious Civil War football game. Now participants in the Harrington Family Foundation’s annual charity golf event have another opportunity to extend this great rivalry.

What we have right here in the State of Oregon is very special. Joey’s career in football has given him the opportunity to travel the country and witness firsthand other rivalries but none compare to the one that exists between the Ducks and the Beavers. Joey feels very blessed to have had an opportunity to play in the NFL but he’s thankful to be back home and able to enjoy the Civil War atmosphere again. Through golfer’s vigorous support of their favorite school, we can now mix it up someplace other than the football field. Those who participate in Fighting in the Fairways not only get the opportunity to strike a demoralizing blow into their rival’s heart but also help the Harrington Family Foundation raise money to award grants to worthy non-profits throughout the state of Oregon. Fundraisers like this make it possible for HFF to support local programs offering assistance to children in need.
