In 2014 we decided to expand our event fundraising for the Oregon Community Quarterback Scholarship beyond PAC-12 celebrities and the world-renowned links at Bandon Dunes to celebrate all things deliciously Oregon in the summer — you know, the reason why we brave gray, rainy skies for months on end.

Imagine beautiful Sauvie Island on a warm evening in your flip flops, the sun setting with a cold beer or glass of sparkling, four of Portland’s elite chefs at the grill, going head-to-head for Grand Prize: Best Dish, the smell of charcoal-roasted peaches and sizzling hanger steak, rich Salt and Straw ice cream dribbling down your chin, bluegrass music serenading your conversations with family and friends: this is the Parr Lumber Great Summer Chef Off. Mark your calendars for AUGUST 19, 2017 | 5 to 9PM.

This year we’ve returned with some tried and true veterans: wine by Domaine DrouhinWillamette Valley Vineyards, and microbrews by Full Sail Brewing, farm-to-cone dessert by Salt and Straw. As for our participating chefs (our main feature): wow, competition is going to be hot this year! Returning to the grill we have Aaron Barnett of St. Jacks (2015 competitor), Matthew Sigler of Renata (2016 competitor) and new to the Chef Off family: Roscoe Roberson of Pearl Tavern and Michael Kessler of Plaza del Toro!

If you’re a local foodie who loves Oregon wines and microbrews, live music, and watching the summer sun set along the Columbia River, then purchase your tickets today!

Seating is limited to 300 and there are just a few seats left!

*All proceeds benefit the Oregon Community Quarterback Scholarship. Each chef/restaurant competes on behalf of a Oregon children’s charity of his/her choice to win grand prize monies to donate to their charity.
