Harrington Family Foundation Announces Its Thirteenth Class of Scholarship Winners
2026 recipients of the Oregon Community Leadership Scholarship chosen
PORTLAND, Ore. — The Harrington Family Foundation (HFF) recently announced the recipients of its thirteenth annual Oregon Community Leadership Scholarship. Six Oregon high school students from across the state were selected to receive a leadership focused scholarship totaling $25,000 over four years to attend an in-state university, college, or trade school.
“It is the highlight of our year to get to know our scholarship applicants and hear their stories. Our 2026 scholarship recipients are an incredible group of resilient, creative, and driven student leaders. We’re excited to support them as they take the next step, and we can’t wait to see the impact they’ll have on their local communities and the future of Oregon,” said Joey Harrington, founder and president of the Harrington Family Foundation and former NFL quarterback.
This need-based scholarship focuses on an individual’s involvement their community, rather than academic or athletic performance. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must demonstrate leadership in their local community, achieve a high school diploma or GED, commit to attending an Oregon university, college or trade school, and demonstrate financial need. The scholarship program currently supports 20 scholarship recipients at $25,000 per student in perpetuity and has 36 program graduates.
The Scholarship Advisory Committee selects scholarship recipients based on strong community leadership, financial need and ‘something special’ – where a student stands out among their peers.
