The Harrington Family Foundation recently joined the Circle of Hearts Club of annual donors to the Providence Child Center Foundation in Portland, Oregon. Providence Child Center Foundation helps bridge the gap between the real costs of pediatric long-term care and the portion of the costs paid by Medicaid. Families are never burdened with having to seek outside funds to support their children with special needs, but they can instead simply be there as a family.

Providence Child Center and the Center for Medically Fragile Children provide a rich continuum of services for children including skilled nursing care, a Montessori School, a child development program, and comprehensive neuro-developmental evaluation and treatment services. The Providence Child Center is also home to the Jean Baton Swindells Resource Center for Children and Families, which provides assistance, information, resources and education on a variety of disability-related subjects to families, caregivers and friends of children with special needs.
