Spring is here and the anticipation of high school graduation is mounting. It’s been an exciting scholarship season as we round the corner with our scholarship application!
Due to various issues with the application deadline and Spring Break, we have EXTENDED the deadline from April 2 to THURSDAY, APRIL 5! Recommenders have a three (3) day grace period to submit their references by April 8. Please spread the word with your faculty, staff and senior students!
Established in 2014 by Oregon native Joey Harrington, HFF Founder and former NFL quarterback, the four-year renewable scholarship is awarded every year to four Oregon high school students who demonstrate an aptitude for leadership and plan to attend an Oregon university, college or trade school, but may need financial assistance getting there. Four scholarships will be issued for the 2018-2019 academic year. Each scholarship is worth $4,000 per year for a total commitment of $16,000 per student. Scholarship recipients also receive access to HFF’s mentor board and active community network, to help them along their collegiate journey and beyond.
To be considered, all applicants must submit a completed application online, which includes a one-page personal essay and two letters of recommendation. Transcripts are not required, nor requested by HFF. There is no application fee. Scholarship recipients will be notified by May 4, 2018.
