Following last year’s highly successful inaugural charity event, Joey Harrington and the Harrington Family Foundation will host their second annual benefit concert on Thursday, July 1, 2004 in Portland, Oregon featuring contemporary musicians, Third Eye Blind.

This much anticipated event is set for the intimate outdoor locale of Pioneer Courthouse Square, in the heart of the city’s thriving downtown. Produced by Portland-based TAOW Productions, the rain or shine event, will benefit Shriners Hospital for Children, Portland and the Harrington Family Foundation.

Third Eye Blind’s multi-platinum smash hits “Semi-Charmed Life,” “Deep Inside of You,” and “How’s It Going To Be” have garnered critical and commercial acclaim. Having toured with acts such as U2 and the Rolling Stones, Third Eye Blind has built a loyal fan base worldwide. As a special treat, Joey on piano will jam along side the band during this unique benefit performance.

“This is a tremendous opportunity to play with some terrific artists, while also giving back to the community that has been so supportive of me and my family,” says Harrington, former Oregon Duck quarterback. “The success of last year’s event exceeded our projected revenue goals by raising over $30,000 for Shriners Hospital. For 2004, we have set our sights higher and we really need your support to help make this year’s event an even greater success!”

Sponsored in part by KeyBank, KINK 102 fm, Nike Inc., University of Oregon Boosters and the Detroit Lions, 100% of the proceeds from the concert will go to benefit children’s charities.

Known as “Portland’s Living Room”, Pioneer Courthouse Square is located at SW Broadway & Yamhill. Doors open at 6pm and the concert starts at 7pm. Due to limited seating and last year’s sell-out crowd, advance tickets are highly recommended. Tickets are $32.50 advance, $35 day of show and go on sale May 15, 2004, at Tickets West outlets, on the web at www.ticketswest.com, or by phone at 800-992-8499 or 800-325-7328.
